Description

A early Victorian rivetted copper 'copper' of large diameter and exceptionally tall proportions making it rare and ideal for a small tree or large shrub. The verdigris colouring is striking and varied all around the exterior, so a great variety of "looks" are available depending on orientation and angles. An old repair of a copper patch rivetted from the inside. Solid throughout, all the seams are intact. Original, large drain hole at side of base (cork and lead bung included). 400 litres capacity, late 1700s/ v early 1800s.
Provenance is direct from a large old Cornish farmhouse.
