Description
A group of five very early boules carved from box tree roots in the valley of Bonnieux, in the Luberon, South of France - the setting for Nicole de Vesian's magical garden at La Louve. Cupping these time-capsule balls in your hand - three centuries of the sights, sounds and scents of baked earth, weathered hands, dappled sunshine, plane trees, pastis and black tobacco smoke all seem to rise out of them.
