Description
The second (2/42) in a limited edition of Cheese Boards or Platters by O+I which twin exceptional pieces of wood with handles from a batch of just 42 cast iron "faux-bois" half-hoops from Queen Victoria's kitchen garden of the Royal Family's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England. The half-hoops date from 1870. The board of inch deep English oak is cut square from shelf of oak from the 1700s which has aged to a depth of colour rarely seen and with a swirling, almost fluid, pattern of grain.
