Description
Hand carved in the late 1800s in Cornish granite - an elegant planter or drinking pool. Clearly always a garden piece, with its more refined shaping than a typical of a farmyard water trough.
A central hole (one inch diameter) can be left open for drainage if used as a planter or plugged to hold water as a drinking pool for various fauna or a fabulous iced drinks cooler for parties.
Lichen patina. From a Cornish estate.
