Description
Cheese Board or Chopping Board in elm. Contemporary, formed by O + I from a plank of elm, found air dried for 70 years in a Devon barn. English elm in these dimensions is vanishingly rare with all mature trees having died out in England by 1971, courtesy of Dutch Elm Disease. This board was chosen for its superb grain pattern and chain loops hand-forged in 1800s added. Just three other boards (of quite different shapes and designs) will be created from the one plank.
