Description
A one-off piece pairing a late Georgian circular grid (c.1820) with a 1920s three-legged iron base. The top is of wafer-layered wrought iron, densely figured first by the blacksmith's hammer and then by the passage of 200 years of no doubt various uses. The base fits perfectly and the tripod feet find stability over any uneveness of outdoor ground.
