Description
An early farmyard trough in a lovely, rarely found oval shape, hand carved in honeyed Cotswold Stone with lichen patina and time-capsule chisel marks. In flawless condition with bung hole for emptying or draining as required - as either a superb drinking trough (its original use) or as a bird bath or planter.
Dating from the 1700s or earlier.
