Description
Stone quern mortar for grinding herbs or grains. Unchanged in form and use for many millennia the simple quern is the epitome of form and function as one entity. The basin has polished perfectly smooth through endless use. Patina of dry lichen.
A lovely tactile object, deeply imbued with human stories, it can be used for food preparation in the kitchen or around the house as a tray, nut dish, key tray ............ endless possibilities.
