Description

A pair of rhubarb or kale forcers by the celebrated Sankey Bulwell pottery of Nottingham, Royal Warrant holders since 1911. Showing superb lichen and moss patina, both are stamped "Sankey Bulwell" and were hand thrown on the potter's wheel a century ago.
One forcer has a historic and honest repair to a crack at the back, well concealed by the patina. The long lost lids have been replaced by our commission of a new pair turned in English oak from Wiltshire.
English, Q1 1900s
